Heat wave horror!

So with the last few days all being up around 35-40 degrees, most of the garden has taken a hit.
The cucumbers I'm afraid have pretty much dried off....
Which is a shame, they were going pretty good.
The monster in the backyard got a bit sunburnt too, but I think he will be ok.....
Unlike his inside cousin, Outside Pudding tree is looking a little fried too...
Backyard avocado, despite not even getting much sun, just couldn't take the heat and has curled up, I think he will bounce back though...

And last but certainly not least, a regular visitor just wasn't impressed with the heat at all, mr Tibbles, I don't really know why he preferred outside heat and wind to the a/c inside, but he's looked like this for a few days now, thanks for still popping in matey!!:)

All the tomatoes have survived ok, and the pumpkins are good for now too, bring on more rain!!

Strawberries

A new addition to the garden, some strawberries donated from Vic at work.
Quite bushy and healthy looking already.....settling in nicely!

Sunflowers and Zinnias

Tomato Time!

So, things are moving along nicely in tomato world.
The Siberians are looking especially good, no quite ripe yet but well on the way.

The Green Zebras are going great aswell, I've never grown this variety before, not really sure when they are ripe....:). Some of them have a strange brown bruise on the bottom..:/

"White" sunflowers

The first one of the season, I went for these smaller Italian, white, sunflowers, they still look yellow to me, then again I am colour blind, they're gonna go great in here with the zinnias...:)
